New from Aveda
There’s a palm tree which grows in Brazil, and it’s called Buriti, meaning ” Tree of Life ” in Tupi language. The fruit gives off an oil which is combined with pomegranate, and lavender. Aveda has borrowed these and other ingredients to reformulate Dry Remedy shampoo and conditioner. Also included in this relaunch is a new product called Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing oil. Put one or two drops into the palm of your hand, and rub from middle to ends of your hair. How much you apply depends on whether you put it on wet or dry hair. It’s recommended for medium to course hair, however, I have very fine hair and I just scrunch a small amount on dry hair and it sure makes my hair shiny and less frizzy.
Reasons to come Downtown
Have you seen the new Funnelator in front of the downtown millennium library? What a fabulous piece of art work. Talk about form versus function. This piece combines both because not only can you stand there and watch all the different patterns of color, but if it’s raining, you can stand under it and get some protection. While it’s still in the conceptual stage, the S.H.E.D. zone and Center Venture people are hoping to put a number of them all around the downtown area. They could act as way finders, information kiosks, possible outdoor restaurants, etc. Because of the amount of light they give off, it would really light up the down town area.
