Some of you may remember receiving them as value added gifts when you purchased two or more litres of Aveda product in the past. As soon as we get them in, we’ll resume the value added practice when you purchase two or more litres of product. By offering this promotion, it encourage people to instead of putting 8 smaller bottles in the land fill site,you only put in 2 larger bottles.
In last months posting, I said we were going to carry the holiday gift sets. We are sorry to announce that once again we will not be carrying the gift sets this year. However, because of the story behind the partnering with the Nepal communities,as well as the great savings,we strongly urge you to visit another concept salon and check out the gift sets. It seems that for the last six years, Aveda has purchased the lokta bark paper that dresses its gift sets from the Himalayan Bio- trade papermaking co-operative in Nepal. Now here’s the kicker, ……Ninety-one per cent of the papermakers are women, and income from papermaking helps them support their familes and communities. A total of 2,400 families can buy food and clothing, repair their homes, send their children to school and also provide hope for a better future.
Reasons to come downtown
Once again Manitoba Hydro is hosting the Festival of Trees and Lights in the front lobby of it”s building on Graham ave. Local artists decorate the trees and wreaths which are then put up for silent auction. Just purchase a number of tickets and drop them into each box in front of the trees or wreaths. Just before christmas the draws are made. Not only do you get a fully decorated designer tree, but you also receive all of the donated gifts from a wide variety of donors. All of the money collected goes toward varies hospices for the terminally ill. As a further fundraiser, there is coffee and cookies for sale as you walk around, view the beautifully decorated trees and wreaths, and get some great decorating ideas!

Happy to say, we sold out all of our breast cancer awareness month hand relief which featured rose mary mint aroma. Rumour has it, that Aveda may bring back the rose mary mint aroma in their hand relief on a permanent bases. For the month of November and December, we will be repromoting Phomollient styling foam under our Products we love banner.It adds weightless volume to medium or fine textured hair. I’m always amazed when I use Phomollient on my own hair because I see the liquid in the see thru container,but when it comes out as foam, I always think, how do they that. Also, did you know they encourage you to save the pump from your last phomollient bottle and when you purchase your new refill bottle (which has no pump and costs less) put in the old pump . Less waste in the land fill site.
